Watch: Mark Ruffalo talks ‘Now You See Me,’ leading ladies, ‘Avengers 2’

NEW ORLEANS – Mark Ruffalo has quite a few films on his recent slate with some heavy-hitting leading ladies: Gwyneth Paltrow in “Thanks For Sharing,” Keira Knightley in “Can a Song Save Your Life,” Julia Roberts in “The Normal Heart.” But he obviously had some fun on “Now You See Me” with co-star Mélanie Laurent (“Inglourious Basterds”), who he called “honest, present”  and “playful,” in our recent interview.

“We had a good time together. She really gets my sense of humor,” Ruffalo said, and the chemistry onscreen makes more sense. He aslo revealed that the French actress “akes little movies all the time on set.”

As for more movie-making magic in magic movie “Now You See Me,” Ruffalo said he had at least a little experience with the genre, on “Brothers Bloom” and some interest in magic as a kid. Were he to do the film all over again, he’d love a little more screen time with stars like Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman.

But getting locked up by Jesse Eisenberg is just fine, too.

Check out the full interview above, as Ruffalo talks more about the film and the future of “Avengers 2” in his return as The Hulk.
