Meryl Streep uses Rotten Tomatoes to discuss sexism in film criticism

Meryl Streep has had an unusually strange press week since she garnered some criticism for apparently favoring the word “humanist” over “feminist” and wearing a t-shirt promoting “Suffragette” that said “I'd rather be a rebel than a slave.” But make no mistake: Meryl is a boss when it comes to articulating feminist concerns in the film industry. Her thoughts about Rotten Tomatoes prove it.

Well, well, well. It's like that speech about cerulean in “The Devil Wears Prada.” You thought that blazer was blue for no reason, but there's a system and a method and an ideology to why everything is “just the way it is.”
