For anyone holding out hope that Natalie Portman will reprise her Marvel role of Dr. Jane Foster any time soon, the actress has some bad news.
“As far as I know, I'm done,” Portman told the Wall Street Journal. “I mean, I don't know if maybe one day they'll ask for an Avengers 7 or whatever, I have no idea, but as far as I know I'm done.”
The Oscar-winning actress starred as Jane, an astrophysicist and love interest of Thor in the first two movies in that franchise. The female lead in the upcoming Thor: Ragnarok will be played by Creed star Tessa Thompson.
Portman”s relationship with Marvel took a turn for the worse back in December 2011. At that time, the actress was miffed about Patty Jenkins being ousted as director from Thor: The Dark World, this according to THR.com. Jenkins was ultimately replaced by Alan Taylor.
Thor: Ragnarok is slated for a November 2017 release. And Avengers 7 is bound to happen some day.
