Neil Patrick Harris is intent on exposing the seedy underbelly of Smurf-dom.
“I would go with probably Porno Smurf,” the actor told me at the recent “Smurfs 2” junket when I asked what his Smurf name would be. “Cause they all seem just too nice. There’s gotta be desires down there, and I think I can make a lot of money.”
Harris’s co-star Jayma Mays, meanwhile, went with with a cleaner albeit just as unconventional name when it came her turn to answer.
“I think I would be ‘Are you gonna eat that Smurf?'” said the actress.
I told her it was a very out-of-the-box choice.
“By the way, Porno Smurf is outside the box too, if you know what I’m talking about,” Harris pointed out.
“I don’t know what you’re saying,” Mays retorted.
“Or is it inside the box? No?” said Harris.
“Where is this box that everyone’s talking about?” said Mays.
“Let’s talk more about Smurfs boxes,” said Harris.
And so on. They were a fun pair.
