With this new commercial from South Korea, the Star Wars drought has ended! Praise be to the Force!
There isn”t a lot of new information to be gleaned from this :30 TV spot, but we are gifted with two brand-new set pieces. See the First Order getting ready for something big, and check out our first look at the new Star Destroyers. Check it out above!
There”s just enough here to whet the appetite for Star Wars fans. First up, we”ve got the First Order all lined up like good little soldiers. We”re on an ice planet – which could be Hoth but is definitely wherever Adam Driver”s Kylo Ren is hanging out in his Vanity Fair photoshoot. We”ve also got Captain Phasma (Gwendoline Christie) being shiny and chrome, along with a handful of other high-ranking First Order officers.
Less information can be gathered from the shot* of the Star Destroyer other than to confirm they still exist. Oh, and whoever the Emperor is, they took the central wing off their Lambda-class Imperial shuttle.
*[UPDATE: 8/10/15 3:02 PM EDT]: This is merely a lingering shot of the Star Destroyer that gives fans a better look. The footage was first revealed in the Star Wars Celebration 2015 trailer, but was quickly wedged between Finn removing his Stormtrooper helmet and Captain Phasma's stalking walk.
