Supergirl is VERY excited to meet President Wonder Woman (so are we)

Wonder Woman Lynda Carter makes her big debut as the United States' President tonight on The CW's Supergirl. A preview clip features her entrance and Melissa Benoist's adorable reaction to her.

Carter took part in the Wonder Woman 75th anniversary celebrations last week but I was overjoyed when we found out she'd be joining the cast of Supergirl as President of the United States. The CW show has a few “super” cast members already with Helen Slater, Dean Cain, and Laura Vandervoort but the inclusion of TV's famous Wonder Woman is a nice touch for fans.

In tonight's episode, besides learning more about Chris Wood's Mon-El, Supergirl and the DEO are tasked with protecting President Olivia Marsdin (surprised they didn't give a nod to Wonder Woman creator William Moulton Marston there instead) while she's in National City. The official Supergirl account shared this clip today to give us a sneak peek.

Reading the comments on that video I realized I wasn't the only one who read the YouTube title “Welcome to Earth Scene 2” as “Welcome to Earth 2.” The Flash has already touched upon DC Comics' alternate Earth and we're still waiting to see how the four-show crossover will work with Supergirl currently existing on yet another Earth.

Carter will be participating in a Facebook Q&A this afternoon, 3:15pm ET/12:15pm PT on Supergirl's page if you're interested to hear her speak on the role.

Met a wonderful woman today @reallyndacarter
