Because you weren't already terrified enough of dolls, next week “The Conjuring” spinoff “Annabelle” hits theaters, in which two supposedly sane individuals decide that a deranged-looking vintage doll is a great thing to keep in the room of their young daughter. Spoiler alert: it doesn't go well.
Of course, “Annabelle” is far from the first movie about a killer inanimate object to hit the big screen, as Hollywood has been horrifying us all for decades with films about spirit-possessed dolls and cursed VHS tapes and possessed computers and even man-eating beds. Yes, that last one actually happened, in an actual movie.
