We already knew that Taylor Swift would be performing live from Times Square this New Year's Eve, and now we know some of the other names involved. Dick Clark Productions has announced a number of artists who will be seen alongside the “Shake it Off” singer on “Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest.”
This new group is led by One Direction who are going to headline and offer four songs from the Billboard Hollywood Party portion of the program. They will be joined by Charli XCX and Meghan Trainor.
Fergie is hosting the Billboard Hollywood Party and will also be performing during it. If you're counting, this is Fergie's ninth time hosting the Los Angeles portion of the “Rockin'” festivities.
The same press release also promises that Jenny McCarthy is going to be back at Times Square celebration for the fourth year. This means that it is McCarthy, and not Fergie, who will be in the same location as Swift. Ryan Seacrest, of course, will be in NY as well and leading the countdown.
“New Year's Rockin' Eve” kicks off at 8pm on ABC and runs until 11pm. Following a break for the local news, the event returns at 11:30pm and runs until 2:13 in the morning.
