The most amazing thing about “Weird Al” Yankovic in 2014 is that “Weird Al” Yankovic is still relevant in 2014. Color me surprised. I love “UHF” as much as the next person, but if you would've asked me 20 years ago (when I was…5?) whether the satirical musician would still be making news this deep into the 21st century I probably would've answered “no.”
Which isn't to say I'm not glad he's still around – if nothing else, his new batch of music videos (8 clips in 8 days) prove he's still got the chops to pull off a killer music parody more than 30 years after he burst onto the scene with the 1979 “My Sharona” lampoon “My Bologna.”
