William Dafoe trades in his Green Goblin suit for a spot in ‘Justice League’

Whether you loved or hated Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman you can't deny the cast was filled with amazing actors. The way things are shaping up, it looks like his Justice League will be no different. Willem Dafoe has just been added to the cast.

The Hollywood Reporter says Willem Dafoe, who famously played Green Goblin/Norman Osborn in Sony's first Spider-Man film, has joined Justice League making him the second Spider-Man alum to enter the DCU.

We previously learned J.K. Simmons, who played J. Jonah Jameson in Spider-Man, would be playing none other than Commissioner Gordon in Justice League. THR says Dafoe is “playing a good guy in a role that will see him appear in both parts of the JL movies. Details of his character, however, are being kept under lock and key.”

It's interesting because I definitely think Dafoe plays amazing villains but can't put my finger on a DC Comics character I could really see him playing. He could be playing a new character of course. More recently Dafoe starred in John Wick with Keanu Reeves. No word on if he's returning…in some way for the sequel however he is reprising his role as Gill the fish in Disney Pixar's Finding Dory next.

Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Amy Adams, and Amber Heard are already set for the two-part team film from Warner Bros, the first to be release November 17, 2017. Thoughts on who you think Dafoe should play?
