The Defenders will feature some familiar faces both in front of and behind the camera when it makes its 2017 Netflix premiere: the mini-series that teams up Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist will be executive produced by Daredevil's Drew Goddard, with season two showrunners Douglas Petrie and Marco Ramirez reprising their roles.
Marvel made the announcement today, praising Petrie and Ramirez's work on Daredevil and calling the team “as formidable as the Defenders themselves.”
It's good news for people who thought Daredevil's second season was better than its first, and probably the opposite for people who thought the show fell victim to the dreaded sophomore slump.
