3. Chloe Sevigny returns to “American Horror Story” as Season 5 regular
The actress last appeared on Season 2 of the FX anthology series, “Asylum.” She'll star in the new season opposite Lady Gaga, Matt Bomer, Cheyenne Jackson, Wes Bentley and not Jessica Lange.

4. The “X-Files” to return for six-episode event series
FOX has revived the beloved sci-fi/horror series with stars Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny, who are on board to reprise the roles of Mulder and Scully. Ah, the '90s. Remember maps?
5. “Hannibal” scribe on board for “Friday the 13th” reboot
The David Brucker-directed update, which will reportedly take a found-footage approach to the storied franchise (in addition to answering the question of why Jason Voorhees can't be killed), has nabbed TV writer Nick Antosca (“Hannibal,” “Believe”) for a rewrite. The film is slated for release on May 13, 2016 and will hopefully be better than…all of the other “Friday the 13th” movies.
6. Here's the first trailer for the Arnold Schwarzenegger zombie movie
“Maggie” is here to remind us that Abigail Breslin is an Oscar nominee.
7. Fox boards “Leviathan”
The studio has acquired a pitch from director Ruari Robinson, producer Simon Kinberg and executive-producer Neill Blomkamp based on Robinson's viral “proof of concept” short “Leviathan,” which has racked up over a million views since it premiered online. The potential feature will be set in the 22nd century, “when mankind has colonized many worlds and traveling faster than the speed of light has been made possible by the harvesting of exotic matter from the eggs of the largest species mankind has ever seen.” Assuming they're talking about these giant sharklike space monsters? 8. Relativity enters a new “Realm” of exorcism movies
The studio has acquired a spec script by Rebecca Sonnenshine that posits a butt-kicking heroine capable of traveling inside the soul of a possessed person to literally do battle with their inner demons. Deadline describes it as being in the spirit of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” in the sense that the protagonist is “great at killing demons, less so at handling her own demons in the real world.” Fair enough! The prospective feature will be directed by music video helmer Scott Speer.

9. Stephen Dorff joins “Leatherface” cast
The “Blade” star will play Texas Ranger Hal Hartman in Julien Maury and Alexandre Bustillo's (“Inside”) upcoming “Texas Chain Saw Massacre” prequel, which also has Angela Bettis (“May”) attached as matriarch “Mother Sawyer.” Hartman is described as a “lean, mean Texas Ranger who has a vendetta against the teen boy who grows up to become Leatherface.”
