Watch: ‘Breaking Dawn’s’ Elizabeth Reaser, director Bill Condon talk closure

SAN DIEGO – “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 1” actress Julia Jones thinks there’s a connection between fans of a certain music artist and the vampire series. During her interview with HitFix during Comic-Con, Jones (“Leah Clearwater”)described one of the strangest places she had been recognized by fans.

“I was at a Santana concert. There must be a crossover between Santana fans and ‘Twilight,'” she said. “I was so surprised when it happened, and then it happened again. There must be some kind of theme.”

Elizabeth Reaser (“Esme Cullen”) has her own version of fame recognition.

“There’ve been times when I’m on a random hike out of town somewhere,” she said. “I’m always shocked.”

While the actresses’ faces may have become familiar to followers of the film series, “Breaking Dawn” director Bill Condon wants to be sure to play with the idea of what’s expected and familiar with the story of “Twilight’s” final book.

“Those big moments — where [Bella and Edward] make love for the first time, or when they get married — as a filmmaker… you can have fun with those expectations,” he said. He talked about Bella’s development as the focus of the first part of these two films. “That first movie is so much about Bella’s journey.”

Check out what else these “Twilight” big-hitters had to say about “Breaking Dawn, Part 1” in the video above, including how Reaser found closure in dining with Peter Facinelli and Jones’ affection for her signature cutoff shorts.

The film is set for a Nov. 18 release date.
