Will ‘Fantastic Beasts’ have a new dark wizard villain? – She Said/She Said

She Said/She Said is a (sporadically) daily video featuring HitFix Harpy Donna Dickens and HitFix Weekend Editor Jill Pantozzi discussing current events in geek news.

This November, Warner Bros. is betting on a big turnout from Potterheads as they head back into J.K. Rowling”s world with Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. Based on the book of the same name, the film adaptation will take the Hogwarts textbook and extrapolate it into the adventures of its author Newt Scamander.

Other than that, Warner Bros. has been tight-lipped about what fans can expect. All we know is that Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) accidentally lets loose a menagerie of magical (and probably dangerous) creatures onto the streets of New York City circa 1926. The MACUSA (Magical Congress of the United States of America) doesn”t take kindly to this and shenanigans ensue.

But HitFix”s Jill Pantozzi has a theory. Ezra Miller recently talked about juggling Beasts with The Flash, reminding everyone that we know little and less about his character in the former. Miller will play Credence, the troubled adopted child of Muggle* NSPS (New Salem Philanthropic Society). In the video above, Donna Dickens and Jill Pantozzi extrapolate what that could mean for the film.

*I refuse to call them by their American slang name of ‘No-Maj.”
