Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly to sleuth out ‘Holmes & Watson’

Reunited and it feels so good.

Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly are getting back together, this time to star in Holmes & Watson, a comic version of Sherlock and his trusted sidekick.

Deadline is reporting that the movie will be directed by Etan Cohen, who previously directed Ferrell in the 2015 movie Get Hard. Cohen also wrote Get Hard as well as blockbuster comedies Tropic Thunder and Men In Black 3.

Ferrell and Reilly have joined forces previously, in the 2008 flick Step Brothers and in 2006″s Talladega Nights: The Ballad Of Ricky Bobby. Both movies were hits with Step Brothers grossing an unadjusted $128 million globally while Talladega Nights brought in $162 million worldwide. The two were in talks to work with Adam McKay on a border patrol comedy, but this project still seems to be in development.

This is not the only Sherlock Holmes movie being discussed these days.

In a May interview, producer Joel Silver said he”s trying to get another Sherlock film going with Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law as early as this fall.

Silver said at the time, “We have a script that we like. Jude [Law] is available and Downey is available, and we”re hoping we can get it done. If it works, great. If not, we”ll do it another time.”

There is no release date as of yet for Holmes & Watson.
