‘X-Men’: Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters gets a totally rad ’80s commercial

In the wibbly wobbly new timeline of the X-Men movies, Xavier”s School for Gifted Youngsters has reopened in 1983. That means young mutants once again have a place where they can fit in with their peers and learn to control their powers.

But first – Professor X needs to get the word out about his school. How to do that? With a totally rad TV commercial, of course.

Ahead of the opening of X-Men: Apocalypse, Fox has released a video in the style of an ad made in the 1980s, featuring Jubilee (Lana Condor) telling us about Charles Xavier”s school. There”s even a toll-free number at the end of the commercial you can call – with none other than Stan Lee”s voice greeting you, asking you to leave a message, and telling you to have an amazing day.

X-Men: Apocalypse opens in U.S. theaters on Friday, May 27.
