Everyone Is Pretty Psyched About Ben & Jerry’s New ‘Core’ Flavors

Just when they think you’re getting bored with their ice cream, the masterminds at Ben & Jerry’s go and release new flavors. This newest batch isn’t vegan, nor is it filled with the essence of Bernie Sanders. Rather, the three newest flavors all belong to Ben & Jerry’s Core line: ice cream surrounding a sweet core center of anything from fudge to cookie dough — giving a whole new meaning to “core strength.”

The three newest flavors, Brownie Batter, Coconuts for Caramel, and Cookies and Cream Cheesecake, were all designed to be bakery-inspired, Lindsay Bumps, Ben & Jerry’s PR Media Maven (yes, that’s her official title), told Mashable.

And if you look at the descriptions of each, they definitely are. Coconuts for Caramel, which is “caramel and sweet cream coconut ice creams with fudge flakes and a caramel core” sure sounds familiar. Samoas, anyone? At least Ben & Jerry’s admits it:

The Brownie Batter core is sure to be a winner with anyone harboring an addiction to chocolate and/or brownies, with “chocolate and vanilla ice creams with fudge brownies and a brownie batter core.”

And then there’s the Cookies and Cream Cheesecake, made up of “chocolate and cheesecake ice creams with chocolate cookies and a cheesecake core.”

Two of the three flavors are actually revolutionary for Ben & Jerry’s—this is the first time brownie batter and cheesecake have been used as cores.

How is the internet reacting to the news? Splendidly, of course.

The best part about all of this? The new flavors have already launched and are sitting on shelves, just waiting to be eaten. If the news has left you screaming “TAKE MY MONEY,” you can use the Flavor Locator on Ben & Jerry’s website to find yourself a pint. Or all the pints. We don’t judge around here.
