It’s almost genetic for human beings to stare at God and hope he blinks first. We tempt fate constantly, building newer and bigger ways to terrify ourselves into a good time. And this new attraction in Dubai might be the most extreme yet.

At the AYKON Dare, thrillseekers can step out of the 79th floor dining room onto a ledge and hang from a safety harness while overlooking the city. Then they can ascend via a sky walk to the 80th floor to stand on a glass-floored peak of the building.

The entire experience is supposed to last an hour, with participants taking in the fact that the Earth is 935 feet below them while walking on the outside of a building. It’s being built as part of a massive, six-building development called AYKON City that will also include a hotel, office space and luxury apartments.

We’re sure there are people reading this who can’t wait to book a ticket, but it isn’t expected to be completed until 2021. Our more sensitive (read: sane) readers can take in the heights of Dubai with their feet firmly on the ground thanks to this eagle-assisted view of the Burj Khalifa from the air.
