We’ve had a solid track record of cool presidents. Teddy Roosevelt was definitely a cool president. Bill Clinton was our most recent cool president. In fact he was the cool president. He played the sax on Arsenio Hall, he had a certain panache to him, the guy was hip. But then all that Lewinsky business played out and that sh*t ain’t hip. Court is definitely not hip.

Now, without any possible contention. Obama is the new hip president. The guy sings Al Greene, invited Kendrick Lamar to The White House, and even went on Marc Maron’s podcast.

The commander in chief is so cool, in fact, he prefers to drink his coffee out of a Chemex like the majority of the hipster populace. The White House recently ordered a shipment of 150 of the pour over, hour glass shaped, coffee makers all etched with the Presidential Seal. The order came to the Chemex company through a specialty coffee roaster in Washington that uses them.

Unfortunately for the POTUS, the custom coffee makers came a little later than expected and just after the filming for Jerry Seinfeld‘s web series “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.” You know, the episode where Jerry and Barack discussed his status as the cool president over a fresh cup from a Mr. Coffee.
