Airbnb Wants To Give You A Free Night In A Shark Tank

The other day we told you about a terrifying fish that probably discouraged you from pursuing your dreams of becoming a mermaid/man. Today we’re bringing you an underwater alternative that’ll keep you safe, but still tickle your aquatic imagination.

Airbnb is giving away a one night stay inside of the Aquarium de Paris’ shark tank! We don’t know how they’ve done it, but it sounds and looks quite literally unreal. (Although, not as unreal as this smiling shark who will be regrettably absent from the Airbnb adventure.)

The underwater room has a clear 360-degree wall to separate guests from the 35 sharks that will be circling the bedroom.

World record-breaking freediver Fred Buyle will play host for the evening. As an icebreaker, Buyle will swim with the sharks while guests settle in. Afterwards, he and a few marine biologists will lead a one-of-a-kind tour through the aquarium. Guests will also dine in their room while gazing into the eyes of an otherwise lethal adversary.

To win a night inside the shark tank at Aquarium de Paris, all you have to do is sign in to Airbnb, find the listing, and write a 50 to 550 character-long description as to why you deserve a chance to sleep with sharks.

According to the listing’s house rules, there are to be no selfies after dark because sharks are sensitive to light and guests are discouraged from diving, “eating the chum,” and “taking the bait.” How clever.
