This Awesome (And Super Cheap) Airbnb Will Make You Feel Like You’re Sleeping In A Van Gogh Painting

Better hang onto your ears. For just $10/night, this Chicago Airbnb listing will put you right inside the mind of Van Gogh, for better or for worse.

You read right, by the way: just one Hamilton will buy you a night in a replica of Van Gogh’s “Bedroom In Arles.” The host, “Vincent,” writes in the listing, “I’m charging $10 for no other reason than that I need to buy paint. However, I will be happy to provide you with tickets to my exhibition at the Art Institute of Chicago.”

Are you catching on? No?

The room is actually a really clever piece of marketing from the Art Institute of Chicago, which created the room to promote an exhibit of Van Gogh’s Bedrooms that they’re hosting from February 14 to May 10.

Which means that you might have some trouble getting into the room. The Art Institute posted the listing on its Facebook page yesterday morning and quickly booked all of its slots for February. They’ll be announcing the available March slots within the next couple of weeks, but don’t hold your breath, because people are hyped on this place.

Here’s hoping the Art Institute decides to keep the room around for longer than the exhibit runs. Because we could all use a little artistic inspiration. And also because $10 for a night in Chicago is an absolute steal.
