A Husband Asked His Wife To Draw What’s On Her Mind And Got Way More Than He Expected

Sometimes, the simplest gestures can open up the way you think or feel about someone. In this specific case, Reddit user bpwwhirl asked his wife to draw everything on his mind, and learned a lot about women. Mainly that they’re juggling a ton of responsibilities and expectations, and that they can multitask to the point of neuroticism.

Seriously, this picture is so uncomfortably relatable, and I’m not even married with kids. The “Did he look at me funny? Did I look at him funny? Am I judgmental?” thought spiral is one that I know all too well, as is the feeling guilty about wanting to dress up and look pretty, or about secretly liking Bernie Sanders (oh, are people reading this?). This picture is also like a mirror of my own mind just with a few details changed. For instance, I can’t stop thinking about having to take out the trash (despite not actually attempting to do it), those dishes I left in the sink last night, the Rihanna song stuck in my head, and how I would just like to go back to sleep and put it off forever and ever, amen.

Now I’m thinking about whether a man drawing a picture of what’s on his mind would be simpler, per the stereotype, or if it would look similar given how busy and stressful our lives tend to be in this day and age. Maybe we should all take up meditation and then try to draw our brains? One more thing to think about.
