The Best Revenge Isn’t Living Well — It’s Losing 100 Pounds And Showing Off Your New Body

Meet Sian Ryan, who weighed 266 pounds in 2015. In August of that year, her boyfriend, who Ryan had been with for almost two years said “see you later” and peaced out of the relationship, leaving her sad, depressed, and lonely. But instead of wallowing — like most of us would do, no shame — Ryan decided that she was going to do something different. She joined a gym, stopped missing her ex, and lost 98 pounds. Today, she’s happy, healthy and posting topless pics on Instagram.

I mean, what else are you going to do right? If you’ve worked hard for your revenge body and are ready to show it off, why shouldn’t you? And if your partner left you while on vacation, like Ryan’s did, you’d also want to let him (and the rest of the world) know what they’re missing.

From The Sun:

Every evening, at 11pm, Sian, from Northamptonshire, headed to the gym where she would run and run on the treadmill – pounding away her heartbreak.

After 12 weeks she was noticeably slimmer and she suddenly realised she no longer missed her ex.

Sian’s new love, exercise, had mended her broken heart.

Let’s hesitate on calling exercise her “new love” (because I still firmly believe that no one likes to exercise just because I don’t), but the positive changes Ryan made to her life really made a difference. Not only was she losing weight, but she also realized that her boyfriend dumping her was “the best thing that could have ever happened.” Wonder if he’s feeling the same way. (Probably not.)

Ryan, who can now lift 200 pounds and works out even on holidays, says that she loves “feeling strong.” And people love her, too. She has 16,000 followers on Instagram and is excited to inspire people to be more like her.

“I was fat and sad,” Ryan told The Sun, “now I’m happy and healthy.” She’s also still single and casually browsing Tinder. She hasn’t met “the one” yet, but she’s optimistic!
