And everything keeps coming up Netflix. Per THR:

Netflix and The Weinstein Co. said Tuesday that they have struck a multiyear licensing agreement that will make foreign-language, documentary and certain other movies, including Oscar best picture nominee The Artist, exclusively available for Netflix streaming subscribers in the U.S.

With the deal, whose financial terms weren’t disclosed, The Artist “will make its pay TV debut exclusively on Netflix rather than on traditional premium cable,” the companies said.

I have nothing factual to base this on but I’m almost certain Reed Hastings and Harvey Weinstein closed this deal in a sauna and/or hot tub. I have to say though, between being the official home of Uggie and bringing back Arrested Development, I’m officially giving Netflix a pass on the whole price increase and two accounts disasters. Those were so 2011 anyway.
