If you’ve been following the Occupy Wall Street protests — I, admittedly, have not — that have been going on for the past week or so you’re probably familiar with Anthony Bologna, aka Tony Bologna, the high-ranking NYPD officer who was caught on tape going around pepper-spraying people for no apparent reason.

Well, the Daily Show took note of this and saw the potential for a new cop show: The Vigilogna.

So they brought in Law and Order SVU‘s Christopher Meloni and made a short trailer for the fictional show and you what — it’s pretty damn funny.

And about Occupy Wall Street, I don’t really know what to think about it. I’ve always been sort of skeptical at how effective marches really are at accomplishing anything other than bringing attention to the people leading them. But I suppose if, at the very least, such a movement raises awareness of the fact that Americans are being as$-raped by a corrupt financial system then that’s a good thing.
