UFC 194‘s weigh-ins went exactly to plan. Jose Aldo and Conor McGregor hit 145 on the dot, the Irish roared, and an exciting final chapter in the epic saga of trash talk leading up to this fight was written. If you haven’t seen the weigh-ins, you should watch. It was fun. The hype couldn’t be more real.
But if you want to read about it – Aldo mocked McGregor’s stance, McGregor looked like he wanted to kick the champ in the head live on YouTube, and the intensity was thick. Of course, the usual crew of security, cornermen, and Dana White separated Aldo and McGregor, who go on to sip their water and each promise a victory on Saturday. So it was pretty by the book. But still – how could you not be sad? It was over. The need for more UFC 194 stare-down was real.
