Conor McGregor is an extremely rich man who loves fast cars and a lavish lifestyle. But he never forgets where he came from or the fans who ultimately fund everything. In a preview clip for the next UFC Embedded series for UFC 196, McGregor shows he still enjoys interacting with his supporters and surprising them.
“I’ve been driving to the gym every day,” Conor explained. “And I’m driving past this guy’s apartment, and on the balcony he’s got Irish flags and a cardboard cutout of me sitting on his balcony. So, now we’re gonna go drop in on him and see what he’s about. Meet one of the fans!”
And boy is this guy a superfan. He has all the walkout shirts, has the Reebok Conor McGregor shoes (“I don’t even have dem!” laughs McGregor) and now he has a bunch of signed swag, because Conor took the time to sign anything the fan wanted.
“I appreciate the support of all the fans out here and all over the world,” he said afterwards. “I never take it for granted. I use it for motivation. So, I am extremely grateful to the fans.”
McGregor fights Nate Diaz on Saturday, March 5 at UFC 196.
