Jason ‘Mayhem’ Miller Is Making An MMA Comeback And Already Has A Fight Lined Up

The last couple of times we heard from former UFC fighter and MTV personality Jason “Mayhem” Miller, he was getting in trouble with the law. In 2015 he was arrested outside of a bar after getting into a fight with police officers… not a small thing but definitely less serious than his previous 2014 run in with law enforcement that saw him barricaded in his house with an entire SWAT team on his doorstep. To make things just a little more Mayhem, he live-tweeted the whole insane situation.

Somehow Miller didn’t end up in prison over all of this. In fact, it seems like he hasn’t even lost the ability to leave the country, as Italian fight promotion Venator FC has just signed him to fight former UFC fighter and Ultimate Fighter contestant Luke Barnatt in May.

This will be Miller’s first fight since 2012, when he lost a one-sided decision to CB Dollaway in the UFC. The promotion cut him afterwards, and Miller retired from the sport, citing serious knee injuries he claimed the UFC refused to cover under its medical plan. He further alienated himself from the promotion by throwing a number of nasty tweets Dana White’s way that we’d repeat if we wanted to risk get hit with a defamation lawsuit.

Nearly four years later, we’re hoping Miller has two properly working legs and the mindset needed to dedicate himself to mixed martial arts. At one point he was a Top 10 middleweight and has wins over Robbie Lawler, Tim Kennedy, and Sakuraba. When he’s on his game, he’s right up there with the best of them. Unfortunately, the chaos in his life has left him with less than sterling results near the end of his career. Can he pull it back together? We’ll find out on May 21, 2016.
