UFC On FOX 18 Results: Rumble Johnson Destroys Ryan Bader’s Consciousness

When Anthony “Rumble” Johnson steps into a cage violence is expected, and violence is what we got. In just 86 seconds, Rumble Johnson stuffed a Ryan Bader takedown, shifted the surging light heavyweight to the cage, and then knocked him unconscious. That puts Rumble right back into the number one contender spot for the light heavyweight championship (that hopefully Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier can figure out soon) and tied for third overall most knockouts in light heavyweight history.

Main Card

—Ben Rothwell defeated Josh Barnett with a shocking choke to become the first man to ever submit the former UFC champion(second round).

—Up and coming bantamweight Jimmie Rivera defeated Iuri Alcântara via unanimous decision.

—Bryan Barbarena defeated Sage Northcutt via submission, arm-triangle choke on only eight days notice (second round).

Undercard

—Tarec Saffiedine defeated Jake Ellenberger via unanimous decision. The Welterweight division is still clogged, especially with GSP likely coming back.

—Carlos Diego Ferreira def. Olivier Aubin-Mercier via unanimous decision.

—Rafael Natal def. Kevin Casey via TKO (round 3).

—Wilson Reis def. Dustin Ortiz Via unanimous decision.

—Alexander Yakovlev def. George Sullivan via KO (round 1).

—Alex Caceres def. Masio Fullen via unanimous decision.

A fun night for free on FOX, and two divisions definitely received clarity in the upcoming title contender picture. You can’t ask for much more than that.
