The ’10 Cloverfield Lane’ Super Bowl Spot Provides A Deeper Look At The Mysterious Sequel

In addition to the much-hyped Civil War trailer, and some meta-commercial tie-ins for Batman V Superman during the Super Bowl 50 pre-game, we got our first (slightly) expanded look at the upcoming Cloverfield sequel, 10 Cloverfield Lane. While it doesn’t give away too much more than the initial teaser, it allows what we’ve already seen a little bit of breathing room, along with including some imposing dialogue by John Goodman’s character. We may not know his name, but we know he came to this apocalypse prepared.

With the film still shrouded in mystery, this second trailer comes as big a surprise as the first teaser when it was released last month. That spot hinted strongly that things were as tense underground in the bunker as whatever happened to be going on outside. Still very much keeping that idea front-and-center, this time we get a quick shot of what might be our first look at the notorious monster that we kept catching glimpses of back in 2008.

10 Cloverfield Lane is set to hit theaters on March 11th.
