Bruce Willis Will Make His Broadway Debut As The Lead In An Adaptation of Stephen King’s ‘Misery’

Have you ever been watching a Bruce Willis movie and thought, “Man, I sure do wish I could see him act, but like, in person?” Some people said yes, as it was announced the veteran actor is going to making his Broadway debut in the form of an adaptation of the Stephen King classic, Misery.

Willis will make his Broadway debut opposite stage veteran Elizabeth Marvel (Other Desert Cities, House of Cards) in the play written by two-time Academy Award winner William Goldman (The Princess Bride, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid), who also wrote the screenplay for the 1990 Rob Reiner film that starred Kathy Bates in her Oscar-winning turn as Annie Wilkes.

The play is being produced by Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures and will mark the latest addition to the company’s works that include a running Charlie and the Chocolate Factory musical in London’s West End that’s expected to hit the Broadway scene during the 2016-2017 season. As for Misery, a start date hasn’t been revealed at this time.
