The Chris Farley Documentary Is Coming This Summer

I Am Chris Farley, the documentary chronicling the comedian’s life from his childhood to his tragic death, will be coming to Spike in August. According to Variety, the film will feature some of Farley’s closest friends and family members, including Farley’s brother (who wrote his biography) and Farley’s former co-stars Christina Applegate, Molly Shannon, David Spade and Dan Aykroyd.

From Variety:

The film tracks Farley from his early days in Madison, Wis. and at Marquette University, through his work at Second City, “Saturday Night Live” and in films such as “Tommy Boy” and “Black Sheep.” He died at the age of 33 of a drug overdose in 1997.

After its premiere on the 10th, the movie will be released as video-on-demand in North America. It’s definitely one I’ll be recording, but might need a couple of sittings to get through.
