This ‘Mad Max’ B-Roll Shows Just How Dangerous The Movie Was To Make

With most summer blockbusters cramming as much CGI into every shot they can, there was something almost cathartic about Mad Max: Fury Road — a movie that did a lot of incredibly dangerous stunts with comparatively minimal computer enhancements. The final product looked gorgeous, and the fact that most of it was real made it all the more thrilling for moviegoers.

And now we have a treat for all those wondering how the film’s monumental chaos came together without resulting in tragedy. The good folks at JoBlo Movie Trailers have somehow got their hands on 18 minutes of Mad Max: Fury Road B-Roll — y’know, behind-the-scenes footage showing the movie being made.

It’s been a cool trend lately for blockbusters to put out videos like this, and I’m definitely liking it. Avengers: Age of Ultron did it, Furious 7 had all sorts of behind-the-scenes action, and now we’ve got Mad Max upping the ante with a front seat view on how they made one of the best action movies of the decade. Certainly beats watching actors interacting with green tennis balls!
