The cast of Star Wars: The Force Awakens is deep into a press tour as endless and daunting as the rebel fight against the Empire itself, full of unending interviews and the awkward demands such interviews invoke. If you want to see one such instance play out, take a look at Collider’s talk with Gwendoline Christie, who plays Captain Phasma in the new movie. She had to answer such nerdtastic questions as “What color would your lightsaber be?” and “Who shot first? Han or Greedo?”
What’s worse (or best), they asked her to do some impressions … specifically of Chewbacca, Jabba the Hutt, and J.J. Abrams. This is where the light would glint angrily off Harrison Ford’s diamond earring and he’d cold cock the interviewer with a gnarled old fist, but Christie managed to (mostly) hide her contempt for the request and performed a pretty amusing half-Chewbacca growl / half-Howard Dean scream. “Is it that?” she asks between takes. “You should know. Is it that?”
Someone near Christie found the impression so hilarious that they attached the completely unrelated interview snippet onto the end of her Love Magazine Advent Calendar video. Just as it sounds, that’s Love Magazine‘s daily sexy video leading up to Christmas starring women like Kendall Jenner, Rita Ora, and Abbey Clancy. Christie gets the Catwoman treatment, strutting across the London skyline in a form fitting catsuit. It’s Christie as hot as we’ve seen her … and then, bam! Chewbacca impression:
