Michael Fassbender Takes An Incredible Leap Of Faith In Two ‘Assassin’s Creed’ Clips

Assassin’s Creed — which may prove to be a big budget ad for video games — at least has some seemingly decent action scenes. One of these was hinted at in a featurette earlier this year when stuntman Damien Walters did an unbelievable leap of faith instead of using CG. Now Fox has released part of that “Leap Of Faith” clip. Strange to think that a guy actually dropped 125 feet in real life to capture this scene.

Fox also released a clip of Callum Lynch (Michael Fassbender) meeting Moussa (Michael Kenneth Williams) for the first time. Omar coming with some questions. He wants to know if Callum has met his ancestor yet. This clip also hints at the bleeding effect, a disorder in the Assassin’s Creed games where a subject starts experiencing their ancestor’s memories even when they aren’t in the Animus. The disorder can cause a mental breakdown, and Moussa seems like he’s already confusing himself with his ancestor.

Through a revolutionary technology that unlocks his genetic memories, Callum Lynch (Michael Fassbender) experiences the adventures of his ancestor, Ag a mysterious secret society, the Assassins, and amasses incredible knowledge and skills to take on the oppressive and powerful Templar organization in the present day.

Fassassin’s Creed drops into theaters this December 21st.
