It’s not only Iron Man and Captain America who can’t get along, it’s also Captain America and Hawkeye, and much of the internet. During a recent interview with Digital Spy, Avengers: Age of Ultron stars Chris Evans and Jeremy Renner jokingly called Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow a “slut” and “complete whore” for being with Bruce Banner.
Again, they were kidding, but coupled with the news that Black Widow won’t be on as much Avengers merchandise as her male counterparts, Evans and Renner probably should have used different words. Something like, “Be with whoever you want, whether Hulk or a useless archer.”
