The ‘Back To The Future’ 30th Anniversary Set Will Include A New Doc Brown Short. Here’s A Teaser.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Back to the Future franchise, and Universal is celebrating with a swanky new box set. The set will be released on October 21, 2015, which happens to be the date Marty McFly and Doc Brown time-traveled to in Back to the Future Part II. So yes, we’re only weeks away from living in THE FUTURE. Where are my goddamn self-tying shoes?

Speaking of which, the Back to the Future anniversary set will include an all new short entitled “Doc Brown Saves the World,” in which the esteemed Doctor explains why the future seen in Back to the Future II hasn’t exactly panned out. He better have a damn good explanation for the lack of hoverboards. You can check out a quick teaser for Doc Brown Saves the World at the top of this post.

I have to say, it’s kind of amazing/strange that Christopher Lloyd is still playing the same old man he was 30 years ago. Of course, Lloyd was only 46 in the original Back to the Future. I just blew your mind, didn’t I?

So, what are you planning to do on October 21 when we officially enter a futuristic wonder world?
