Bryce Dallas Howard Would Like To Start A ‘Captain Marvel’ Campaign

Bryce Dallas Howard spoke to Cinema Blend in the lead-up to Jurassic World opening this weekend. When asked if there’s any other huge franchise she’d like to join next, she said “Marvel movie.” They mentioned the role of Captain Marvel being a potential fit, and she was unsurprisingly enthusiastic about that prospect.

“Oh my God, will you write that? Will you write that please? Yes, let’s start a campaign now. That would be rad. Those movies are so fantastic, because talk about just these incredibly drawn characters! That’s the joy of the comics, is that you fall in love with these characters and it’s who they are that carries you from journey to journey to journey… it’s not just about set pieces. It’s really about who these people are, and so, yes, I just would love to be in a Marvel film.”

It’s interesting to note she said “a Marvel film” and not “another Marvel film.” Not only does director Sam Raimi think Spider-Man 3 sucked, but Howard also seems to have forgotten she played Gwen Stacy in the Sony adaptation of a Marvel comic. We wish we could forget, too, but that dance scene is seared in.
