Gwendoline Christie’s Captain Phasma was one of the most hyped new characters in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and while she had a much smaller part than originally anticipated, she is set to return to terrorize the Resistance in Episode VIII. As the new generation’s Boba Fett, Phasma is characterized by her armor, a chrome stormtrooper suit. The Daily Dot explains that the suit is “coated with chromium obtained from a yacht that Emperor Palpatine owned while living on Naboo,” but how and why Phasma actually received the now iconic suit remains a mystery.
Until now. The Replica Prop Forum posted a funny video that will delight Star Wars and Game of Thrones fans alike. Christie is best known for her bona-fide badass Brienne of Tarth on Game of Thrones, who also was gifted an impressive set of armor by fellow knight, Jaime Lannister. Some person with too much time on their hands decided to gift the internet with a delightful mashup that serves as a link between Christie’s iconic characters. Essentially, Brienne is the light side of the same coin as Phasma: both duty-bound and single-minded in their mission. Does that make Finn Podrick Payne?
