A Noble Teen Returned Thor’s Wallet And Chris Hemsworth And Ellen Rewarded Him

Thor can summon a mystical super-hammer at will, but remembering to pick up his wallet? Not so easy, apparently.

Chris Hemsworth was armed with a big hug, big thanks, and a big reward when he dropped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show this week. The Marvel hunk shared the story of how one very honest teen (one close to becoming an Eagle Scout, no less) found the wallet Hemsworth left on a table in a “rough” section of Los Angeles. The pocket-sized accessory and its mysterious contents were nabbed by 17-year-old Tristin Budzyn-Baker, who sent a letter to the actor’s management seeking to return the wallet and maybe provide tickets to his upcoming appearance on Ellen. The request was approved and Budzyn-Baker’s praises were sang on daytime TV.

“I expected [the wallet] was going to be empty, and all the cash was in there, so I want to give you the cash — there’s a little extra in there,” Hemsworth said.

Should the teen have asked for his Blockbuster Video card? Hemsworth probably isn’t using it and would likely be happy to get out of his wallet.

In addition to Hemsworth providing the kid with some extra cash, he wrote a letter of recommendation to the Scouts saying Budzyn-Baker is Eagle Scout-worthy. DeGeneres followed suit in the reward cavalcade offering up $10,000 from Shutterfly tucked in a new wallet. The only downside to this guy’s honesty is that he’ll probably never get the coveted “Deception” badge in his collection. Aw well.
