Chris Pratt’s Star-Lord Is Now Definitely Showing Up For ‘Avengers: Infinity War’

With all the superhero films constantly being released, it’s a small wonder anybody can keep track of who is in which one or what side they’re on in the impending big battle. The next big one on the docket after the upcoming Captain America: Civil War is (of course) the next installment of the ongoing Avengers series, Infinity War. After the events of Age of Ultron, and anticipating what could go down when the heroes face off in Civil War, fans are already speculating on who will appear in the Avengers next battle to save the universe. Now, directors Joe and Anthony Russo have made that speculation mostly unnecessary by confirming that two major characters will indeed appear when the team is all together again.

At the premiere of Captain America: Civil War, the Russo brothers talked about which heroes they were most looking forward to working with and confirmed that a duo of Chrises (Chrisii?) would be joining the adventure in the process. Both Chris Pratt’s Star-Lord from Guardians of the Galaxy and Chris Hemsworth’s Thor from, well, all those Thor movies should be getting together with Iron Man, Hawkeye, Black Widow, and all the rest to fight some evil. It sounds like they especially have big plans for Star-Lord, even if it is just a super cool cameo. In comments to ComicBook.com, the brothers gave their thoughts on the leather-jacketed badass.

“The movies are intended to be a culmination of everything that’s happened before in the MCU so you don’t want to get into spoilers but I’m a big fan of what James Gunn has done. We are both big fans of what James Gunn has done. Star-Lord is a fantastic character and Chris Pratt is an awesome performer so you’d be very excited.”

The Russo brothers haven’t let fans down yet with their Marvel projects, so their next project shouldn’t be an exception to that rule. Now everyone just has to wait for Infinity War’s release to find out exactly how cool these appearances will turn out to be. Which is just around the corner in … 2018.
