Deadpool Invades The Japanese Trailer For ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’

The popularity of the comic film Deadpool is impossible to deny at this point. In fact, it’s the highest grossing R-rated film ever. Ever. That’s pretty impressive consdiering most film studios have been incredibly afraid of what has been assumed to be a kiss of death for a film by giving it an R-rating, making most action and comic book movies tone it down a bit to attain a vaunted PG-13 rating. I don’t blame FOX for wanting some of that Deadpool magic to rub off on the few Marvel properties that they do have.

No, Deadpool didn’t make an appearance in X-Men: Apocalypse (although maybe he should have?), but that didn’t stop FOX from using him to market the movie in Japan. That’s right, if you are confused by that statement, look no further than this Japanese trailer, thanks to EW. Deadpool, who did appear in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, the film that helped lead to his solo movie, pops into this trailer at the 2:30 point. That’s when the parody starts.

Our pal Deadpool is here spoofing on post-credit scenes, which have been all the rage in comic book movies for a while now, while also poking fun at YouTube trailer breakdowns that we are all oh-so-familiar with, by breaking down five key moments from the trailer in ridiculous fashion. If you just can’t wait for Deadpool 2, this is at least some more Deadpool to tide you over, right?
