‘Doctor Strange’ Diagnoses Injuries Inflicted In ‘Captain America: Civil War’

While he may be the Sorcerer Supreme, Stephen Strange is still a medical doctor. And despite his injuries, he can still put that medical knowledge to use, which he does in this clip, analyzing the various injuries inflicted on his Marvel stablemates, or that they inflict on others.

Granted, this isn’t entirely serious, as among the diagnoses is a loss of dignity when you get creamed by Cap, noting that a missing arm is “bad” but that he’s not a mechanic, and a suggestion Tony get over his painful betrayal by Cap by going to see the new Doctor Strange movie. Which raises questions like whether the Marvel Cinematic Universe is suddenly becoming self-aware. Don’t get meta, Strange! Deadpool doesn’t like people poaching his shtick!

Joking aside, it is nice to see this movie’s marketing loosen up a little bit. One or two jokes about WiFi passwords aside, the film has looked a bit serious, and flashes of humor will be welcome. The central question will become whether the good doctor can occasionally pitch in over on the Netflix side of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, because, seriously, Claire Temple could use a day off. Let the woman go get some coffee! She’s earned it!
