‘Ghostbusters’ Has New TV Spots, So There Goes Your Childhood

Sony is still trying to turn public perception of Paul Feig’s Ghostbusters after the release of a much-disliked first trailer, and these TV spots have definitely been getting better, as have the international trailers. So grab a friend (or find one) and check out some new footage.

Feel free to chime in below with how your childhood has been ruined and to inquire how much Sony paid me (jack sh*t) to write this. And what an amazing coincidence that — in the eight years I’ve been working here — I’ve only been accused of conspiratorially writing a sponsored post when I write about a movie with a female lead and I don’t already hate it before I’ve seen it. I don’t write sponsored content, and if I did it would always say “sponsored by” in the byline, because this isn’t some “lizard people on the dark side of the moon” conspiracy when someone doesn’t have the same pet hates.

Anyway, Paul Feig recently tweeted an international poster for Ghostbusters, and — in a move that will surely enrage some — I am going to admit I kinda like it. I’ll go cash my fat nonexistent checks from Sony now and buy an invisible yacht to party on with my invisible manservants.

These ‘busters will be in theaters on July 15th. You’ll get over it.
