A ‘Sons Of Anarchy’ Alum Is The Latest To Join ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2’

As if fans of sarcastic, self-aware comic book movies in the Marvel universe didn’t have enough going for them this month with the critical and box office success of the world’s most heroic potty mouth, Deadpool, they’ve also got the forthcoming Guardians of the Galaxy sequel to look forward to and thinks are coming along nicely.

Sons of Anarchy fans will be ecstatic to learn that actor Tommy Flanagan — who played Chibs in SAMCRO — has signed on to join the sequel (he was also in Braveheart and Gotham, if either of those are more your speed). He’ll play one of the Ravagers who put a bounty on Rocket Raccoon’s head, which Rocket will surely shoulder with the same poise and optimism he usually employs in times of hardship.

Flanagan joins Hollywood icon Kurt Russell, Elizabeth Debicki (of The Great Gatsby, The Man from U.N.C.L.E. and Everest) and The Knick‘s Chris Sullivan as additions to the principle cast of alien misfits you loved the first time around.
