Guillermo Del Toro Told Fans At Comic-Con That He’s Still Committed To ‘Hellboy 3’

At the San Diego Comic-Con to promote his latest film Crimson Peak, Guillermo del Toro took a few minutes to ask what the fans of the pop culture event thought about two films: Hellboy 3, and Mountains of Madness. With a resounding frenzy, the folks of Comic-Con let del Toro know that they indeed want the two films made, and del Toro pointed to faux studio executives behind him as if to say, “See?”

In an interview following the panel — which you can see in the video above — del Toro mentions that he’s become somewhat of a mediator between the fans and the studio. He, of course, wants to make the next installment of Hellboy (and so does star Ron Perlman), but it seems like it’s up to the studio if they want to front the money for another film, and if they think they’ll get a return on their investment. This all remains to be seen, and we’ll keep you updated if this develops.
