There’s no doubt who shoots first in this movie (or last, or at all). Han Solo is back at it in the latest TV spot for Star Wars: The Force Awakens and he’s blasting while joining the fight. It’s likely the best, tiny nostalgic moment yet, right behind the revelation that all the hocus pocus from the original trilogy was real. But still, it’s a nice feeling to see the old guy back at work.
Also, the rest of this doesn’t look half bad either, to the point that there’s no way it could be a disappointment like the prequels (it could definitely be a disappointment like the prequels). Even if it does suck, at least the visuals and characters will be familiar. I’ll gladly take a disappointing Star Wars film with awesome Rogue Squadron type battles over whatever starfighter battle we got in The Phantom Menace.
The only prequel thing I want to see make a comeback is Darth Maul. Give him a spin-off or add him to these new films in some manner. Anything to give him more than just getting cut in half on the same planet that gave birth to Jar Jar Binks. I’m just rambling at this point, but can you blame me? The trailer is awesome.
