There’s a new rumor from Bleeding Cool about the budget for Avengers: Infinity War Part One and Avengers: Infinity War Part Two, including a claim about Robert Downey, Jr.’s paycheck for these two movies. We already know of the famously profitable deal Downey worked out with Marvel during Iron Man. He earned $80 million (not including additional backend pay) from Avengers: Age of Ultron and Captain America: Civil War, and he was rumored to have made $75 million off Iron Man 3.
Reportedly, the combined budget for both Avengers: Infinity War movies is $1 billion dollars, of which $400 million goes to the screenwriter, director, producers and principal actors. Of the portion of that $400 million which goes to the actors, Robert Downey, Jr. will allegedly receive half of it, or something under $200 million.
Good for him. Drugs, jail, trannies and lord knows what else couldn’t hold him down so he deserves it.
I’m sure the only thing that actually sucked for him was prison. The drugs and transsexuals were probably awesome at the time…
Downey is a great actor and he plays Tony Stark better than anyone could have ever hoped. Give him whatever he wants.
This would seems to make sense, as the Hobbit Trilogy budget was somewhere around 600-700 million with a much lower profile cast. Still seems like an insane budget for one 5 hour movie.
If you can get it, take it!
That’s why I’m Team Iron Man for civil war, cause he has all the monies! You can’t kill the rich! Cap’s broke ass is going down!
But Cap represents American Democracy! Surely in a fight to the bitter end American Democracy wouldn’t be Dominated by the Rich and Powerful, laying their helpless unable to do anything.
How long before RDJ can ACTUALLY afford to build an Iron Man suit?
When you break it down that only works out to around one million per smirk. A bargain I say.
I don’t give a shit – lock that dude up in Fort Knox and let him roll around on a bed of gold bars wearing nothing but Lion-O onesie drenched in maple syrup. He deserves every penny.
This seems like a very specific fantasy, years in development
Just don’t buy it, it’s way too much of a risk to have your movie budget that high, even if it’s a super profitable Marvel movie, the numbers just don’t really make any sense but I do get they’ll need more money to put together Infinity war.
wow that is a really big jump from $250 mil age of ultron, to $500 mil for the next avengers movie, more so when at least half of it likely wont even have the real avengers in it as they give screen time to the b team avengers.
With that figure it wouldn’t surprise me if he gets killed off in the second one.
