During Wednesday night’s game between the Los Angeles Clippers and the New York Knicks, fans noticed something interesting: Will Arnett and Victoria’s Secret lingerie model Alessandra Ambrosio sitting together courtside. The pair shared a bag of popcorn, and according to THR, at least one kiss. That’s because Arnett and Ambrosio were filming for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sequel.
THR explains, “Ambrosia will play herself and the love interest of Arnett’s character in the film.” But the happy pseudo couple weren’t the only ones involved in Wednesday night’s filming. According to Clippers shooting guard J.J. Redick, he and a few members of the Clippers and the Knicks were also a part of the action, both during the game and after.
Redick talked with Grantland’s Zach Lowe about the experience on The Lowe Post podcast. That’s when he probably said a little too much:
Redick: It’s myself, Austin Rivers, Matt Barnes, Spencer Hawes, and DeAndre Jordan. Later this afternoon the five of us, along with five Knicks players, are going to be back at MSG. We’re going to be filming a scene for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sequel, Half Shell.
Lowe: It’s colon (:) Half Shell?
Redick: I probably shouldn’t say that. I’m going to get in trouble, but yeah.
Half Shell could just be an onset title used during filming. Then again, it might also be the sequel’s official subtitle. Either way, despite the Clippers 31-point win over the Knicks, I think we all know who the real winner is: Arnett.
