James Franco and his pals are bringing Tommy Wiseau’s The Room back to life on the screen, this time in an adaptation of The Disaster Artist by Greg Sestero. The account of “the greatest bad movie of all time” seems to be coming along nicely with an all-star cast that includes Franco, Seth Rogen, Kate Upton and Zac Efron, but now we have our first look at the Franco boys playing Wiseau and Sestero:

This movie looks ridiculous, but it should be pretty damn fun. We’re dealing with a film that is already fairly awkward to watch, so the creation of that film has to be some sort of an interesting tale. Also James Franco looks a lot like Tommy Wiseau, so it’s enough to make up for the horrible looking dog beard on Dave Franco’s face.
All I want to know is if the older Franco is going to force the younger one to sniff his jacket in this film. It’s what actors do, after all. Marlon Brando sniffed jackets. He also sat around without pants on most of the time, so there’s a lot to learn there.
